Yep, we are turning 20 years old this year, yes I know and we thought that we would create a flower world for you to bring you behind the scenes of our siopa and all we make and do in blooms. Welcome to our Substack and we hope that you enjoy our thoughts, interviews, inspirations, events, adventures & so much more besides.
And so…who should subscribe to us?
Well we know that so many of you have been following us on other platforms for such a long time and now that Substack is here with a bang without a wonky algorithm, let us bring you all the latest from the flower and plant world and keep you botanically entertained.
For those who are only getting to know us, we are a design led creative florist who have provided flowers for The Queen, The President & Obama not to mention dressing so many luxury hotels, venues and businesses with our blooms.
We also created a book of floral short stories called :
‘Bláthanna:Irish Spaces in Flower’ to celebrate our 15th year where we made seasonal installations in various amazing Irish locations we loved. It’s a veritable collection of floral short stories with an ethereal feel.
We are now based at the front of Dunnes Stores Cornelscourt. Our busy store or siopa (Irish word for shop) is full of an amazing team of floristas, beautiful bunches & ready to go bouquets, stylishly potted plants and more, our very own Winter Beach candle and various Irish made cards and candles too. And did we mention that we also create flowers for lots of lovely brands, family celebrations and that we host workshops throughout our year.
Our mission is a simple one - to get more Irish flowers grown sustainably for you all to enjoy, to create gobstopping bunches of beauty full of seasonal joys & to bring Irish floristry design to the forefront because there is so much talent here on our isle.
